While I prefer to run my acoustic through a little processing (see my section on recording gear), you can very easily run the output straight into a mixing console or PA head and get decent results. It sure beats trying to strum the thing loud enough to be heard over a practicing band, or plugging into an electric guitar amp (another pet peeve from the Gear page)!!
